Entertainment Technology - 9 October 2004 Infinium® Technologies has introduced a major breakthrough with the launch of its first contact-free fader for DJ mixers and professional audio and lighting consoles. And with its launch at PLASA 2004, digital optical control technology comes of age, says René Moolenaar, business development director of the company. Ground-breaking features of the new fader include ultra-long life, high-level precision, and a fully adjustable 'feel'. Providing DJs and audio and lighting engineers with unparalleled fingertip control, the infinium fader allows for full and simple personalisation to suit the user - whatever his demands. The fader comes in tree travel lengths: 45mm, 60mm and 100mm. By separating the mechanics from the electronics, Infinium® can offer many different supply options to meet different client's exact requirements in terms of assembly and cost, and the company has an application support team offering full back-up to customers wanting full integration with their products. Infinium® Technologies is an Anglo-Dutch venture from CliffGroup, the internationally respected plastics engineering company, and Digimix, the specialist developer of high-end electrical components, and draws its expertise from these parent companies. The new technology has been developed and patented by their combined R&D teams over the past two years. Infinium Technologies is based at Telscombe Cliffs near Brighton in East Sussex. copyright © Entertainment Technology Press Ltd |
