Good things happen to those...

The fader business unit is an integral part of infinium®. We started the development of the current range of faders back in 2003, over 7 years ago! We first concentrated on the development of the optical sensors, the 'heart' of the fader. It is the most crucial part since it generates the digital code which is used to create the appropriate signals to interface with the mixer or console. I guess of all the tests we have done to simulate a real working environment, the Guinness test was probably the hardest, for the fader that is not the engineers!

A true first

Once we had a robust sensor, we shifted our focus to the interfacing electronics and mechanics. Whilst we managed to cater for a large range of interfacing principles we spent a lot of time getting the feel of the fader right. Considering the different types of DJs and sound/lighting engineers we came to the conclusion that the feel had to be adjustable. No user is the same and we had to cater for that. This is why we developed a contact-free adjustable feel, a real FIRST in the market, we believe.

Unstoppable

Our latest product is a retrofit fader for DJ mixers. Supported by DJs from around the world, we believe that it is a very exciting new product in our line-up. Our long-term view is to continue the development of the technology and the process of innovation to meet the requirements of new industries and applications. Therefore, if you have any ideas or suggestions, then please do get in touch.
"I feel sure that the Infinium optical fader will become a new standard controller for digital consoles. The optical technology is not only clever but it also makes total sense audio-wise and it should make for stunning reliability. I particularly like the adjustable ‘feel’ and the principle that makes it possible."
